Ward 3

Councilmember Paul Anderson represents Ward 3 on the Sparks City Council. He was initially appointed to the Council by Mayor Ron Smith and has since been elected by Ward 3 voters to continue serving the community he has called home for more than four decades.

Anderson is an account executive with Pilot Thomas Logistics, specializing in national accounts and government contracts. He brings more than three decades of management, sales, operations, and contract experience to his professional and public service roles.

His public service extends beyond the City Council. Anderson served for 12 years on the Nevada State Board of Agriculture under three governors, including four years as chairman. He has also served on numerous regional boards and committees focused on water resources, public health, education, infrastructure, and other issues affecting northern Nevada.

Anderson is actively involved in the community and volunteers with organizations including the Great Basin Chaplain Corps, Northern Nevada Veterans Home, Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, and church ministries.

Paul and his wife, Donna, are teenage sweethearts and have shared more than four decades of marriage. They have two grown sons, Casey and Jesse, and are proud grandparents.
