Welcome to the City of Sparks' Human Resources (HR) Department! The HR Department is an integral department that promotes the City’s strategic and tactical goals with professional HR expertise and provides support to nearly 700 employees, which includes both full time and part time staff. The HR team strives to provide professional Human Resources support to the City’s Departments to ensure they have the talent and resources needed to provide City services. The HR team supplies a full-range of HR services including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, policy development, performance management, employee relations, leave administration, as well as citywide training and professional development.

Please note that while HR does open at 7am PST Monday through Thursday and 8am on Fridays, City Hall does not open until 9am. Please call ahead and schedule an appointment if you need to be seen before 9am to ensure someone can let you into the building.
